Tasty Seafood, Fair Prices, Entertainment
I sometimes find it difficult to get good tasting seafood in Toronto. Problem is that if you pick the wrong place, you're out a lot of cash. You won't have that problem at Casa Mendoza. The food is very tasty. If you can get over the fact that it's located within a motel, you will enjoy your evening once in the restaurant. It's nicely decorated and they have live entertainment (piano bar + singer) - I don't know which nights - ask when you call for reservations. Backdrop setting is of west end Lake Ontario. Nice atmosphere because it's relaxing as you feel hidden someplace secret, yet still in the city.

One of Toronto's Best Kept Secrets
Great place. It's located on what used to be the infamous motel strip on Lakeshore just East of Parklawn in the former city of Etobicoke. The patio is amazing; it has a great view of the Toronto skyline in the evening. Wonderful place to bring a date. The staff are friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The menu is the usual steak and seafood fare with a selection of desserts. Nothing mind-blowing but all very well prepared.
